Rev. Dr. David Kruger

Forgiveness and Healing

Since the bite of the devilish serpent, the “heels” of God’s people and other parts, emotional and physical, have been besieged by pain and deterioration. The power of the cross brings healing and wholeness in ways no other antidote can deliver. The paralyzed man in the Gospel, filled with and surrounded by faith in Jesus, was first forgiven of his sins and then received physical healing. Forgiveness in liturgical ritual, God to worshiper, and in daily life, person to person, heals body and spirit. This sectional will focus on the healing power of forgiveness described in Scripture and the profound difference forgiveness makes in the lives of God’s people today.',N'Pastor Kruger received a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling in 1983. He is a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and has served as a therapist in a community mental health agency and a pastoral counseling center, while a pastor in churches in Florida, Colorado, Louisiana, California and Minnesota. David has been a consultant for church worker care and congregational care in several districts of the LC-MS and from 1998-2002 was the Executive Director of Consultation to Clergy, a ministry of the Northwest District of the LC-MS and Region One of the ELCA. Dr. Kruger and his wife, Cindy, developed and co-directed the Bartimaeus Family Ministry Center in Lake Forest, CA, before he became the Associate Pastor of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Plymouth, MN, in 2006. David has experienced the healing power of forgiveness in his personal and professional life.
