Why I Pray for Healing

    An energetic, personal and dedicated man of God, Rev. Dr. Larry Stoterau has been President of the Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod since September 2000. He has served as Senior Pastor at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Alhambra CA and Senior Pastor at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Chandler, AZ.

Rev. Dr. Stoterau received his education at Concordia, St. Paul, MN (1967); Concordia Sr College, Fort Wayne, IN (1969); Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO (1973); Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA (2001).

He has served since 2004 to present as the Vice Chairman, Council of Presidents, LCMS; Chairman of Mission 21st Century, LCMS (2002-2005); LCMS President’s Task Force on Structure and Governance (2005-present) and Board of Directors, Pastoral Leadership Institute (2001-2006). He has served as a member of the Kiwanis and Rotary Club, Alhambra Chamber of Commerce, and Alhambra Regional Hospital Institutional Review Committee.

Dr. Stoterau is married to Linda and they have two children, Samuel and Joseph.
